Dr. Michael Nguyen
Dr. Michael Nguyen graduated with the degree of Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology from the University of California- San Francisco (UCSF) in 1999. He also graduated with honor in Electronics and Computer Engineering at California State Polytechnical University in 1980. He was a research fellow at the University of California-Irvine - Electronics and Computer Engineering Departments. He was responsible for designing and fabricating of Giga-bit multiplexors.
Dr. Michael is a fellow of International Congress of Oral Implantologist (ICOC). He has placed and restored hundreds of implants and implant supported prosthesis since 1994.
Dr. Michael is a member of American Orthodontics Association (AOA). He had extensive training in orthodontics and has treated thousands of orthodontics patients.
He was a supervisor and lead project engineer at Hughes Aircraft Company-Digital Signal Processing Research and Development Laboratory. For over ten years, Dr. Michael had been extensively involved in the design and development of state of the art digital signal processing algorithms and computer systems.
Besides clinical duty as a dentist, Dr. Michael is currently pursuing the design and development of instruments and systems for imaging and characterization of oral hard and soft tissues. Acoustic elements are used for dynamic sensing. Signals are then digitized, processed, characterized and imaged.
Dr. Michael has received several patents and patent pending achievements relating to "Method for Locating of Material Fatigue using Multiple Sensors."
