You have decided to come to an orthodontist because our dental specialty is the correction of tooth arrangement problems. Tooth arrangement problems can vary from an issue with apprearance, a lack of function, or even the future health of your mouth. What you can do to make your treatment PLEASANT

It's really up to you to make your orthodontic treatment a pleasant experience for both of us. One thing you can do to help is to take extra care of your mouth during this time. Appliances are very delicate. Although strong enough to do their jobs, they are not designed to withstand undue abuse or neglect. Simply chewing on your pen or pencil can cause damage and that could delay your progress.

Also, we asl that you are very careful about the types of food you eat, and about the manner in which you eat them. Hard foods and sticky foods, such as caramels, do a great deal of damage to your braces. And one more thing, keep your braces and teeth EXTRA CLEAN. No matter how carefully we prepare and clean your teeth in our office, only special care at home will keep them clean. They depend on YOU for their health and cleanliness.
